FUSSILI PASTA WITH MURGH MAKHANI SAUCE
Ingredients
¼ cup olive oil
2 tsp chopped garlic
1 cup boneless shredded chicken or chicken tikka
2 cups tomato based gravy-sindhi style or makhani type
½ tsp garam masala powder
2 tbsp cashew paste
½ cup pesto sauce (basil based Italian sauce)
½ cup grated cheese
5-6 basil leaves
Salt to taste
½ tsp white pepper
1 tsp mixed herbs
Method
Heat the oil in a pan, sauté the garlic, add in the pasta and toss with some salt, pepper and mixed herbs. Remove and keep aside. Combine together the makhani sauce with the garam masala, cashew paste, salt, pepper, herbs and simmer for 3-4 mins with the cubes of chicken tikka. In a serving plate or bowl, place the pesto sauce at the base and top with the tossed pasta. Finally pour over the chicken tikka with makhani sauce and garnish with cheese. Serve hot with garlic bread.
